Nice! Keep up the good work. I look forward to some of the maps you have yet to do.

A couple of suggestions: you need to put a "Home" item in the menu frame. Not that there's much on the home page right now, but it's good practice. The other is it'd make the mappings easier to read if the volume titles were made bold or some other method to stand out. For example,

quote:

FLASH ARCHIVES VOL. 5 (212/224 pages)
Written by John Broome, and Gardner Fox; art by Carmine Infantino, Joe Giella, and Murphy Anderson; cover by Infantino and
THE FLASH (1st series) #133-140 and Annual #1

The Flash #133 (25 pages + cover)
"Plight of the Puppet-Flash" (15 pages)
"Secret of the Handicapped Boys" (10 pages)

The Flash #134 (25 pages + cover)
"The Man Who Mastered Absolute Zero" (15 pages)
"The Threat of the Absent-Minded Professor" (10 pages)

The Flash #135
"Secret of the Three Super-Weapons" (25 pages + cover)

The Flash #136 (25 pages + cover)
"The Mirror Master's Invincible Bodyguards" (15 pages)
"Barry Allen -- You're the Flash! -- and I Can Prove It!" (10 pages)

The Flash #137
"Vengeance of the Immortal Villain" (25 pages + cover)

The Flash #138 (25 pages + cover)
"The Pied Piper's Double Doom" (14 pages)
"Mystery of the Matinee Idol" (11 pages)

The Flash #139
"Menace of the Reverse-Flash" (25 pages + cover)

The Flash #140 (25 pages + cover)
"The Heat Is On -- For Captain Cold" (15 pages)
"The Metal-Eater From the Stars" (10 pages)

Flash Annual #1 (3 pages + cover)
"How I Draw the Flash" (2 pages)
"The Flash and Barry Allen" (1 page)

The bold makes it easier to pick out in those longer mappings.

Again, nice work. That dedication is greatly appreciated.

Wonderful. It went onto my Favorites list immediately. Now we can all stop saying "I think Owen or Steve or somebody did a map of that a few months ago; see if you can find it."

Two good ideas. Thanks. It will take a while to make all those volume titles on all those pages bold face, though.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Great site Owen! I'm glad to see it, especially with mine always having to take a back seat to my main site, The Golden Years. I too have a suggestion for you. You might want to make a bare-bones list at the top of the page (kind of like I make with just volume number and books reprinted) just to give us the idea of how many volumes there are, and what are in each without having to scroll down through the more detailed list. Other than that, I like it!

Again, great job!!!!!

Owen,

The site is a delight in many ways. All the maps in one place is great. I can look up when a particular issue I remember from my youth will (re)appear in which archive for my nostalgic pleasure. I am also surprised at the number of done in one books there are. these are a quick, get in get out, for DC with no worries about a follow-up volume and giving people to own it all in one shot.

As for suggestions, my main one would be for you to include the years the issues appear. I know this is done for some but not others. It would be very useful for long runs. I also noticed that Adam Strange, Metal Men plus some others that I've seen on this board before (I thought by you) are missing from your web site. I assume the site is a work in progress and these will appear soon.

Questions: 1. What was the reason for starting the Silver age Wonder Woman where you did? Is this the first Andru/Esposito issue? Or was there some other reason?

2. You have the silver age Superman/Action issues grouped together like the Dynamic Duo. Do you think there is any chance they will be separated into 2 different archives like the golden age books or do you feel the DD Archive sets the standard?

3. Bob has indicated a reluctance by DC to archive the 50's Sci Fi Batman books.
Any Idea where this run of stories starts?

Yes, adding issue dates to the maps that don't have them is on the to-do list.

I neglected to save a few of my maps, including Adam Strange and Metal Men. I'll have to re-do them.

Yes.

I'd prefer a single Silver Age Superman line, collecting both Action and Superman stories.

I think that was discussed in a previous thread, but I don't know if a consensus was reached. I love those goofy stories and I hope I live long enough to see them collected.

Thanks, Owen - this will be a great web resource.

Now between your site, DStepp's, Steve's, Chris's, Mike's DC Index, and DarkMark, I have nearly everything I need right at my fingertips!

I know you already have several links on the main page but hows about a links page listing some of the other possible sites of interest?

OK..I've finally realized how futile it is to wait for coming archives....
19 volumes in the Lois Lane Archives...crazy, just crazy... I will never see in my lifetime 19 volumes of lois lane archives...unless they start pumping out 100 a year.....

Oy...

Great job on the website..all we need now is an ambitious person to start finding artist /writer credits....

SA Hawkman and Atom already exist, so Owen doesn't need to do a theoretical map for them. If GA Hawkman isn't there, I'm sure he'll get around to it. Mos5t people think GA Hawkman is "very likely" to be published in the next 18-24 months.

The 1st volumes of SA Atom and Hawkman exist, but that doesn't stop me from mapping out future volumes, time permitting. Steve has a GA Hawkman map on his site He also posted a SA Atom map to this board, but I don't know if he saved it.
